Marcia has an extensive background in building and managing teams.
Throughout my journey as an Army Officer, Boeing Senior Manager, and business owner, I have always thrived in team environments. As a participant or leader, I find that team accomplishments typically expand beyond the sum of the individuals and create a synergy that exponentially escalates the feeling of success. Being on a team with passion and focus creates a level of camaraderie that is unparalleled in other life experiences.
Although I have been primarily engaged in technical endeavors with engineering teams, I have always credited my career success with my ability to manage the emotional side of people and create environments where they were empowered to participate and problem solve. I find that the biggest challenge with engineers is getting them to buy into effective solutions and not strive for unobtainable levels of perfection. This connection led me to explore and embrace horse-facilitated coaching. Working with horses gives people a chance to reflect and grow in nonjudgmental ways. It accelerates the process of realizing something they cannot easily see themselves.
I live in St. Augustine and make frequent trips to Tudor Farm in Ocala, FL to support the work of connecting horse wisdom to people, teams, and organizations. My unique niche is the experience with veterans and their families. I invite you to come and discover how this powerful work can help you or your team connect more fully.
